AfriPolicyCover information
Editorial Policy
The standards we use for research, verification and publishing.
Useful insurance content must separate education, provider claims and commercial relationships clearly.
Last reviewed 17 July 2026
Research standard
Writers should prefer legislation, regulators, ombud structures, provider policy documents and other primary sources. Material product distinctions must be explained without implying that every provider uses identical wording.
- Use South African context
- Date material reviews
- Link official sources where useful
- Distinguish common practice from guaranteed cover
Page quality standard
A product page should explain scope, limits, exclusions, comparison factors, buying and claims flows, documents, FAQs and provider status. Thin location pages remain outside the index until they add unique local value.
Corrections and updates
Substantive corrections should be prioritised, the review date updated and related pages checked for the same issue. Editorial independence must not be overridden by a future commercial relationship.
Commercial disclosure
Provider links are not active. Before they launch, every relevant page must explain whether AfriPolicyCover may receive compensation and must identify the destination before the user continues.
